All I Need to Know I Learned From Sunbeams

Last December I was called to be a Sunbeams Teacher in Primary at Church. Although I've been in many areas of Primary, this is my first experience teaching Sunbeams. I am learning a lot.

* Your neighbor can be your friend or your enemy depending on which chair you are sitting on.

* Goldfish, fruit snacks and peanut butter crackers can fill you up for a long, long time.

* The best part of the day is sharing what is good in your life.

* Lessons about "I'm Thankful for my Eyes" and "I Love my Family" are always good to remember.

* When creating a masterpiece, make sure you have lots and lots of crayons.

* You can always find something interesting by looking under your chair.

* Life is complete when a sticker is considered a prized possession.

* Jesus does truly want me to shine for Him each day.

* Sharing and taking turns are things that everyone, even grownups, can learn.

* Every now and again, we all need to get a good hug.

That is wonderful!
"Your neighbor can be your friend or your enemy depending on which chair you are sitting on" and "Every now and again, we all need to get a good hug" are my favorites :)
What a happy way to start the morning, thanks!

This is so true! Sunbeams are the best. I love it at the first of the year because they will just be all spontaneous and jump out of their chairs and yell answers to questions. It always makes me sad that at the end of the year they don't do that anymore.

You are so lucky! I love teaching Sunbeams! No one you serve at church will ever so freely return the love you show them. You are exhausted by the end of church, but your mouth muscles are sore from all the smiling.

...here's a big hug...

NCS: The chair analysis also works well on the public bus. If you dare to ride......

Nettie: The exhaustion is true, but so is the smiling. They definitely keep me grounded.

Shelly: Thanks for the hug! Right back at cha!

The sticker thing is always amazing to me too, I mean, it's just a sticker!!

Cute post! I have had one calling in the Primary and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would!

Gabriela: Wow -- only one calling in Primary. I think I have Primary permanently stamped to my forehead. I've been in Primary now since my oldest started in Primary 7 years ago. Not the same calling, mind you, but nevertheless all Primary callings. The Lord knows I need to develop more childlike traits!
